X-MAS

Christmas 2010 we...

Went to a Christmas Carol play at the Glendale Centre Theatre with the Clarke's (sans baby girl-she spent the evening bonding with Mimi).  The play is one of my favorite traditions!
We also had a gift exchange and Christmas dinner with them.

Spent Christmas Eve at the Macias house eating 2 times of possole, making ornament crafts, playing the white elephant story gift exchange.

Funny story about the white elephant game.  We (Micah and I) thought it was 1 gift per couple so we only brought one gift.  Gabby asked Micah if he had his gift ready to go and he lied and said, "yeah, it's in the car, I'll go grab it real quick".  When it was time to play we all sat in a circle with our gifts and I was surprised that Micah had an extra gift on his lap.  I had no idea where he got this "gift" and was about to be mad at him for re-gifting the presents I had already set apart to give out.  When it was time to unwrap the gifts we ended up with I looked over to see who got Micah's bag.  It was Denise.  This is what she got:

along with a gift card to Jack in the Box.  It turns out that he had run out to the car and rushed over to the 99 cent store and saw these beauties.  He bought a red, green, and white candle to represent the mexican flag :O.  Jack in the box was just the next logical purchase for the gift card since it is in the same parking lot as the 99!  Funny man!

Lucia and Zellie met for the first time.

Micah blessed his baby girl at the Clarke's family ward.  It was a great day.  The weather was beautiful (no rain :)) and most of my family showed up from out of town.  We had a little (actually big) get together afterward at the Clarke's house.  We had Jorge on the grill BBQ-ing the Carne Asada, it was delish!

We had a friends dinner with Micah's friends at Rosa's in Newport.

We got together with my cousins Lily, Maribel, Susana, and James.
