January

The first month of the year was tough. It snowed and was freezing but somehow we made it through the month with a date night or two.

But-the best part about January was that Megan came to visit. It was last minute but somehow we managed to swing it! We visited DC a few times and I took her to my favorite Italian spot in the Inner Harbor (Isabella's) to eat delicious food. She even got to come to class with me. Here are some pictures of our fun times.

The junkyard google told us was a "metro station".

Once we finally found the real station things got easier. We went to the Achieves Building and walked into the Rotunda to see all the important documents.

We stopped off at the Old Post Office Bell Tower. The view, in my opinion, is better than the one from the Washington Monument. Your not as high but there is hardly a line and it is open air so I think you get a better overall experience.

The White House

There was something going on with the media but we didn't have time to wait to see. We have things to do!

We crossed the Potomac to see Arlington cemetery-Tomb of the Unknown Soldier-changing of the guard.

We went up to Georgetown (it was pretty windy), by the Watergate Hotel and around the capitol building.

In Baltimore we went to get sandwiches. Megan still talks about them-seriously!
